University of Florida?

how accepting are they for transfers? are they as tough as freshman admissions?

not very, if you're not instate with an AA, chances are very low. I'm going to apply for readmission, and i'm not guaranteed entry with good gpa.

how hard could transferring to florida possibly be? -_-

I am instate from another public university. When i apply, I'll have 45 credit hours and a 3.7-3.8 GPA(depending on this semester) and most of the pre-reqs complete(all will be complete at the end) . Does high school matter that much?

you could probably get accepted to a better school than florida with those college stats.

any suggestions? I am a finance/economics major....

possibly Michigan if you apply early enough, we got a great B School and a pretty good Econ program

emmanuel moody did it =P

what? lol I really want to go here.

bump, any comments appreciated

do your own research.

it's the university of florida..
not the university of chicago.

you have a good chance, don't worry, but don't count on it either

i had a 3.5/3.7 gpa in highschool, 960(CR+M) SAT, 24 ACT

i am applying for junior level transfer from ucf as a finance major. when i apply, ill have 46 credit hours with a 3.65 GPA. I am going to retake the SAT, i've been consistently scoring 1350+(CR+M) on the 6 practice tests that i have taken. I will have 5/7 business prereqs done.

bump, anyone

I don't think they look at your high school records if you have a significant amount of college transfer credits. I bombed high school. I didn't put in any effort and barely graduated. I tried community college and didn't fair well either. It was because of my lack of effort. I went to work for a few years and decided to give college another try. I got my AA from a CC and only applied to the University of Florida. I got accepted to the Warrington college of business at the University of Florida and majored in Finance. I actually did better at UF than at CC. Keep in mind I worked 50 plus hours a week while going through community college. I also didn't do well when I started CC right out of high school. My gpa was around 3.2 to 3.5 (I can't really remember) coming out of community college. I never even took the SAT and my high school gpa was probably 2.0. I graduated with high honors from UF recently and am pursuing grad school.

anyone? please

wowlol123

I don't think you will have a problem getting in. Keep in mind that a 3.65 gpa in college is good. This isn't high school where everyone has exceptional gpa's. You will have an above average/superior gpa at uf. You need to graduate with a 3.2 to get cum laude honors and a 3.6/3.8 to get magna/summa honors (with thesis).

wowlol123 and COH123

Do you get amusement out of making up things and posting on forums? I read through your posts in other threads and you state different statistics and different schools. I read that you go to ASU and UCF and you said you were going to FSU. Why are you wasting peoples time for? It is obvious that you are using wowlol123 and COH123 user names. Get a life man.
