so far, they look pretty alright. Your weighted GPA fits the requirements, but I'd wait til the end of this semester to raise it a little bit. Also around that time I would retake either the SAT or ACT, which ever you feel you will do the best on. They are good scores, but UGA gets tougher every year, so you will want to be sure. Your courses and activities will look very good and will help. Also when applying, if it asks what your planned major is, put something rare such as french, instead of the norm like business. You can always change once you register for classes. UGA is not known to be very diverse so the fact that you are an african american male will help. So far your chances look well, and good luck.

anybody else

Looks good for the University of Georgia. :)

Well...are you a Georgia resident? If you are, I think you'll be okay but they're pretty tough for non-resident applications.

i think you have a good shot of getting in.

I think that with a 3.38, your chances are low. I am not saying this because your stats are bad, but UGA places A TON of importance on GPA, so that is really going to hurt you. They are starting to use AA this year, so maybe that can go your way. But I doubt it. I know ppl that have gotten in with 4.0s and 1000s, but people with 3.3s and 1400s to be outright rejected. just my take. Good luck

Alright i’m going to be honest with, because my friends said I could get in with these stats and got my hopes up and i got deferred.

SAT - 1550
ACT - 25
GPA 3.7
5 Ap classes with a score of 4 on 2 of them
plenty of community service

I would advise you to raise your ACT scores (at least a 27, dont know about SAT) and your GPA, I was over-confident and that tore me to peices.

Could anyone tell me what my chances are to getting accepted in the spring

eh … i think you have an ok chance of getting into uga. I don’t really know because uga was my safety school (sorry if that sounds conceited) so i didn’t really think about stats and just applied EA but i think you might get accepted if your essays are good. Your EC’s look awesome for UGA  Good luck!

Nubey101 - I think you’ll be ok. Your gpa is good for uga i think. but you need to raise your SAT or ACT.

Chance me!
