Hey so I just got accepted to University of Hartford. The letter didn't say much and there is no online account for them so I just had some questions
On the bottom of my letter it says Pre-Ostepathy Studies which was the major I was going for but I'm not sure if that means I was accepted into their accelerated BS/DO (7 year) program ..unless it's the same thing. If someone could clear this up for me with more information on the program as well that would be nice

I looked at their website and it does appear that if you applied for pre-Osteopathy, then getting accepted means being accepted to their 7 year BS/DO program…but it appears that the DO school has the final say as to whether they will admit you when the time comes.

There are some minimum req’ts that you must meet while an undergrad…(note that you will need to send a letter to UNECOM when you matriculate at UH (so ask if they mean next fall when you start college.)

Admission to UNECOM’s Doctor of Osteopathy program, is ultimately, decided by UNECOM. In order to be eligible for admission a student must:

Send a letter of intent to UNECOM upon matriculation at UH.
Complete at least ninety (90) credits of coursework including necessary prerequisites by the end of the third year at UH
Maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.4* overall, with a minimum grade of C in all required courses.
Submit an application for admission to UNECOM at the end of the second year of pre-professional studies at the UH.
Show satisfactory performance on the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) or any other examinations required by UNECOM. (26 on the MCAT)
Obtain a recommendation for admission to UNECOM from the Premedical Professions Advisory Committee at the University of Hartford.
Complete a satisfactory interview with UNECOM’s Admissions Committee and participate in any orientation programs required by UNECOM.
- The University of Hartford’s course repeat policy will not apply to the calculation of the cumulative and science GPA.
