Ok so here’s the deal: I am a senior in a Texas high school who is planning on attending college at the University of Houston Main Campus. I live in a small city (not that small though). I am in the top ten percent of my class, with a GPA of 96.8 On my SAT, I made a 950. Looking at UH’s requirements, they allow the top ten rule, but those who don’t, have to follow the SAT score minimum of at least 1050 after March 2017. I have a good high school transcript, as I took many pre-AP and AP classes (that I have credit for a few), I participated in many clubs and school activities, and volunteered many times in high school. And I have 4 letters of recent going into my application. I am basically wondering if my chances of getting acceptance are hindered due to my low SAT score? Please help!!!
I think you are in the clear as long as you are within the 10% (not 10.2%).
You will get in from your class ranking. I got accepted to University of Houston main campus and I am in the top 14% but made a 1270 on my SAT. Plus, automatic admission just fills 75% of the class. Also, what do you plan on majoring in?
(:
I plan on majoring in computer science in general (computer information systems to be exact).
hey, I have a low SAT score, but in the top 10% too. Did they accept you?
