University of Houston to University of Texas?

<p>I am currently a first semester freshman at the University of Houston and will be applying for a transfer to the University of Texas for the fall 2014 semester. I was wondering if any of you guys on this website know how good my chances are.
I have currently all A's and am positive ill be able to finish of the semester with a 4.0 and and the year with at least 3.8. My major is Mechanical Engineering.
My high school transcript is not bright at all. I Procrastinated too much and didn't take any AP's. I also had no extra-curricular. I am apart of two organizations at UH and have recently gotten my first part time job. </p>

<p>If it matters, my current classes are:
Calculus
English 1
Chemistry
psychology</p>

<p>And for next semester I am enrolled in:
Calculus 2
English 2
Chemistry 2
Physics
History</p>

<p>It doesn’t look good since you didn’t do any extra curricular activities in high school, but it should probably help that you did some at UH. I’d put this at a low reach though. Good luck!

<p>I’m not sure if you still read this, but may I ask why you’re transferring? </p>

<p>I’m transferring because I like UT better, simply put. Plus the opportunities that I would have after graduating from UT would exceed those I would have if I graduated from UH. Why do you ask? </p>

Hi. Not sure if you’re still even on here but, I’m planning on doing the same thing. Im going to be a freshman in the fall of 2015, majoring in EE. I was just wondering if you successfully transferred to UT? Thanks
