I’m trying to transfer to UIUC this upcoming fall as an accounting major!! I’ll be transferring from University of Wisconsin- Madison. It’s my dream school and i just want to know my real chances.

Stats:
HS GPA- 3.6 UW
College GPA- 3.1
ACT- 29
**Graduated hs a semester early

College activities:
Sorority (judicial board member, one executive position, and philanthropy committee), IMA, Finance & Investment Society, DECA, Student Health Organization, Multicultural Business Association, Asian Bus & Econ Association
*Also have an accounting internship

You definitely have a shot transferring in from a good university like wisconsin. Your GPA is low and while you have a chance at getting into accounting, that’s one of their best majors. I would say high match/low reach. Good luck. Chance back?

My opinion I don’t see it happening. I have two D now at UIUC. Business is just as difficult as Engineering at UIUC. I know kids that had 3.9 and 33 ACT scores turned away. You never know, but the average business transfer GPA is 3.7. Not sure about ACT scores for transfers.
