University of Illinois Urbana Champaign vs. Indiana University Finance

I was recently accepted to UIUC college of business and the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. I am planning on majoring in finance. What are the pros and cons of both schools? I plan to visit them both in March, but I wanted some feedback from current students and others who faced the same dilema.

Thanks

I don’t know much about IU, but I can tell you about UIUC.
Cons:
Rural Town in the middle of nowhere. (Cornfields EVERYWHERE except on campus). so theres not much to do outside of the campus.
Large school = Large classes. We’re talking 40,000+ people! Expect to be on waiting lists to take certain classes and expect to have over 500 students in one class.
Parties. Although it’s a good school academically, UOI is also a huge party school and you’ll find a lot of boozed out students during the weekend. .It’s good to have fun but it can get a little excessive.
I see your name suggests you’re from California. The weather in Illinois can get pretty nasty in the winter. This has been one of our better winters but expect to not see the sun from December to May.

Pros:
Engineering and Business schools are highly esteemed and nationally ranked.
There’s a lot of activities and over 1000 clubs to join
Students have a lot of school spirit. Easy to make friends.
The campus is beautiful and spacious which I think plays a huge role in the learning environment.

So there ya go! Taken from my friends’ experiences.
