Had housing/dining link this AM

Hello, I got accepted into the Spring Semester. I was wondering if someone could give me information to what it will be like if I enroll with my decision. Thank you!

Already submitted my housing application haha

@adlgel I don’t see anything about decisions. Thank you for your help though!

@dankmeme try watch a legal drama. being invested in solving crimes before the cast does usually gets my mind off things.

Son accepted honors college Smith school of business had housing glitch this morning Gpa 4.4w and SAT math/cr 1390 ACT 31. Out of state

@rocklandmom if in the freshman connections program can you still live on campus with others? Basically are you still apart of the community… Get to go orientation, move in during the fall, etc?

@kerrycake sorry to hear that you don’t have your decision yet. Hopefully someone in admissions can help you out.

I wasnt planning on waking up before 12 anyways lol.

Accepted with College Park Scholars!

OOS: NJ
GPA: 3.9 W
ACT: 31 C superscore (33 E 27 M 32 R 32 S)
Major: Linguistics

Did computer science get really competitive this year or is UMD really hard on OOS students? Just wondering cuz I have a pretty high SAT (1450/1600), which based off of a lot of others stats from this/last year I woulda though would have gotten me scholars or fall admittance, but instead I got spring semester.

Do I need to fill out the FAFSA for merit aid?

@Sniksder16 Admissions is major blind, so it wasn’t based on the CS major. My guess would be your grades? UMD really likes mostly As, maybe some Bs, but does not like Cs or less. Just guessing not knowing anything else about you. Sorry!

@XCjunior2016 No, but it can’t hurt. On the financial aid website they say it’s “Strongly encouraged” to submit it. They don’t use FAFSA info when deciding merit awards.

I just got accepted! However, I applied for Engineering, and it says on my decision that my major is “Letters and Sciences”. Does that mean I didn’t get into the engineering school??

@bascombadger123 Yep

@terpgirl I have had 1 c in all 4 years, but that was on a 7pt grading scale with a 84 :(.
