I got my acceptance today!! 
Accepted to CoE OOS. I applied around 1st Nov, but I guess my transcripts for delayed.
How does one know if one got into Honors? :-S

I received a $12,000/year President’s Scholarship today! (OOS) However, I was only accepted into FIRE and not the Honors College/Scholars Programs. (?)

DS was awarded $12,000/year President’s Scholarship today! (OOS) – He’s accepted to EE & an honors program - that notification was awhile back. We have not yet visited - have a friend whose son is there though & really likes it. Congrats to those recently accepted and those hearing good news about awards.

The scholarship came by snail mail. I have not logged into the portal today - can try to check it.

Does anyone have an idea for when regular decision applicants are informed?
My son also received in the mail yesterday his President’s Scholarship from UMD. It’s $32k over 4 years. The letter was dated Feb 20, 2017. We haven’t checked the portal yet so not sure if it’s up there too. My son was admitted in the Honors Pgm but did not get a BK invite so this was really a happy surprise for him and us as well.
He’s a NMF, old SAT 2280 (M800, R700, Wr780), ACT 35 (all 35s except Math and Science were 36), 11 APs by end of 12th Gr (all 5s but one score of 4) and 4.0 GPA unweighted.

I went on the portal and checked the awards tab. I got this message: “A package of awards has not yet been created for you for the 2017-2018 award year.” Why can’t I see my merit scholarships? I know my financial aid ones are delayed because I need verification of my fafsa documents, but merit scholarships shouldn’t be affected by that as well.

Doesn’t April 1st seem late? All other universities I have applied to already informed me of my acceptance, even some that I submitted my application to later than Maryland’s. Maryland is my clear number one at this point, but some of my other options require me to make a tuition deposit by April 1st. Is it possible that Maryland will inform me of the decision before April 1st?
I posted this question in one of the other discussions, but if I have not received a snail mail letter yet about merit scholarships will I not be getting anything? I received my snail mail admissions letter 2 days later than when I saw other people posting on here, so should I expect to hear today or tomorrow…

My son received a snail mail letter on 02-24-2017 with notification of a President’s Scholarship in the amount of $5k per year for four years, totaling $20k. The award also shows up on the “Awards” tab of the financial aid page. His stats were: SAT 1550/1600 and 4.1 GPA, In-state.
