University of Maryland College park Transfer Chances

I'm trying to transfer to UMD College park in the spring of 2012. what are my chances?

-29 credits
-2.75 GPA
-Asian American
-Currently reside in MD

Also this semester I plan on boosting my GPA to the 2.9-3.1 range with a total of 40 credits. So what are my chances of being accepted in the spring??

You are going to take 40 credits in one semester? lol

Your chances aren’t very good with that GPA.

Hmm. after this semester my gpa would be a 3.1 if I hit straight A’s. Would that be a definite yes to the admissions?

and no, I’m taking 11 credits this semester. My total would be 40 if I pass my classes.

50/50 since you are an MD resident

hmm. Spoke with an adviser today and she said that UMD CP would accept people with a gpa 2.5+ considering i am not a freshman. Can anyone confirm this?

Anybody can confirm?

should i apply to umd for transfer? i dunno much about the school :/

I’m in cc right now, planning on transferring to UMD within a year or so. Where do you currently go to school? If you obtain an Associate’s degree from Montgomery College, you are guaranteed transfer admission to any university in Maryland after… including College Park. You may want to look into that, which is what I’m doing.

I am currently at anne arundel CC but i would like to transfer before i get my associates. I was just wondering what my chances were.
