University of Maryland: College Park vs. University of Maryland: Baltimore County

I am deciding between a master's program in chemical engineering at these two schools. My ultimate goal is to become a process engineer with a respectable salary of 90-100 k per year. UM:CP will be 50 k over the next two years whereas UM:BC will be 18 k. Which school would you guys suggest for my career aspirations? Is UM:CP worth the 32 K difference?

Do you plan to live on or off campus?

Off campus for UMBC and on campus for UMCP. Those prices were considered within the total cost I gave earlier (50 k vs 18 K).

$50,000 minus $18,000 equals $32,000

So, what might be the gap between job earnigns between the two schools? My guess is that it is somewhere between $10,000 per year and zero dollars per year. And the money you save in tuition is tax free. I would choose UMBC. For engineering masters programs the source matters even less than it does for undergraduate. $18,000 is a bargain for a master’s degree. Period. For a chemical engineering, it is pocket change.

Thanks for the advice! If anyone else has anything to add then please do.
