University of Maryland College Park

Hi!

I'm an upcoming high school senior and I'm really interested in College Park. I know they're fairly selective but I just wanted to get your opinion on my chances of getting in.

I have an 88 GPA (my school does it differently and we don't have honors classes or anything), I'm in advanced math (the only advanced class offered besides Advanced Physics which I will be taking), I play the cello, I'm in 5 clubs, head of 3 of them including being one of the editors of yearbook. I play volleyball and I'm the student representatives to one of the boards for my school. I took the SAT once (and I'm going to again) without studying and got a 1700 and the ACT (without studying and I'm going to again) and got a 27. Do you think I have an honest high chance of getting into College Park

ACT and SAT is kind of on the low side. I would say raise to 1800+ or 28+ and you’ll have such a better chance. Im also guessing you are out of state, so that will make it even more competitive. Their CR+M avg is about 1320. Their ACT range is 28-31.

@IDontKnow4‌ Yeh I’m definitely going to retake both of them but I actually live in state so does that make much of a difference?

probably isnt that important, but UMD college park doesnt care about ur SAT writing scores or essay. also they take a superscore
