University of Maryland? (either one, BC, CP)

W GPA: 4.21
Rank: 28/305</p>

<p>AP Classes i took (+ taking)
-US, calculus AB/BC, World history, psychology, biology1,2 , environmental science
physics(mechanics), european history, statistics, english language, chemistry1,2
+ many hornors classes</p>

<p>But, I have such a low SAT... : combined 1500s, 680 math, reading and writing below 500s</p>

<p>My ECs: IT Club, nanobotic projects, indoor and outdoor track (2yr), some volunteers,<br>
National Honor Society, Math honor society, science club, etc</p>

<p>I want to go to UMD as chemistry or biochemistry major. But i have really low SAT score...
Is there any chances for UMD?? either one.
+ any suggestions of other schools? (In Maryland or its regions, like VA, DC, DE ,etc)</p>

<p>You definitely need to get your CR scores up to a 600, and if not a 600, then a 550 so that your CR + M is > 1250. I would say that UMCP is a reach considering your SATS, unless you have some extenuating circumstance such as just moving to the US. UMBC may be a better match since it typically admits more students, but I’m not sure if you’ll get in. Again try retaking the SAT or ACT</p>

<p>I got here about 5 years from Korea… though i still have some problems with english</p>
