University of Maryland vs Delaware

<p>Our son was a direct admit to the Smith School of Business which is rated very highly. They seem to have a strong record for job placements, internships in DC. etc. He is also considering the University of Delaware as they were generous with merit awards. I haven't heard too much about the Lerner School of Business there. I think that Maryland is a much better school overall. And we have been impressed on all our visits. Can anyone else weigh in on this? </p>

<p>Money aside, and the fact that UD is smaller, I don't really think it is a close comparision.</p>

<p>I am actually in the same exact situation. I was directly admitted to UMD with the smith school and got into the delaware honors program with a good amount of merit. I am interested in other opinions aswell</p>

<p>Have you visited both? I visited UDel the day after Maryland and it doesn’t even compare, in my opinion.</p>
