I’ve been researching some affordable summer precollege programs, and Maryland’s Young Scholars program looks really good. It’s 3 weeks of a course that you sign up for, and you get 3 credits for it. I’m currently a Sophomore, but I can’t do it this summer. So I would have to do it the summer between my Junior and Senior years. Anybody else done/planning on doing this program? I’m planning on doing the Mock Trial class, by the way.
I’m giving this a bump because I’m wondering how successful completion of this program impacts admission to UMD. Anyone?
So i was informed that completion of this program does not give you an advantage when it comes to admissions but a high percentage of the students who complete it are admitted. The admissions team looks at the program like they look at all college coursework taken by high school students.
