Hi! I'm really unsure of my chances of getting into UM, and getting a decent scholarship. I have 3.5 GPA, took 6+ APs with 4+ scores, my pSAT results have gone from 1880, 1950 and I'm aiming for a 2100+. I am active in extracurriculars, have work experience, am fluent in French, as well as having 5 years of Spanish, and studying in Northern Ireland for 4 months and getting some credits. Not sure about my class rank. I know they're pretty good with need-based aid. Any advice at all would be greatly appreciated!

You seem like the ideal candidate. But, its a hard school to be accepted to. I think you should apply EA and you’ll probably get in by spring if not in winter. Try to make your GPA higher, though. That will improve your chances. And aim for 2000+ SAT, like you said.

I have a 3.8 Weighted and 2000 SAT and got deferred for EA. The only person who I know who got money has a 4.2 W and 2300+ on her SAT.

What was the girl’s unweighted? @shk909

@collegebound1216 Probably around a 3.8, 3.7 at least. It was due to her 9th grade report card, she has gotten perfect grades as an upperclassmen.
