I'll have to decide which one to attend to this Sunday.
UMD costs $19,000
UMiami costs $21,000

I'm from Maryland, and I'll be studying Pre-med. Good thing about UMiami is that it's private, so there are smaller classes, can get into honors easily.

Good thing about UMD is that it's near NIH, JHU, and know some people there.

Which one???

What county are you in? If you are in commuting distance of Montgomery College, would you qualify any of the honors programs there? If you aren’t directly admitted to any of the honors programs, pulling a 3.5 the first semester will qualify you for honors sections of any course that offers them. Class size is topped at about 25 because there isn’t space for any more desks, so you would never have a huge lecture. The professors seem to be pretty accessible - Happykid never has trouble getting in touch with hers. And, of course, NIH is straight down the road and you can get there free on the Ride-on bus.

If you want out of Maryland, U of Miami is a perfectly fine place to go. The winter weather is much better for one thing! Spend some time on their website to find out what you can about internship opportunities that would be meaningful for you as a pre-med.

Wishing you all the best!
