@coe2022parent The award notice will include the need based aids, not just the scholarship. Very often, the merit scholarship is not in sync with the award notice. The first award notice will appear as estimated financial aid that should be posted within the upcoming weeks. There will be at least one or more revision until Fall.
@BreakfastClub1 The admission blog has already mentioned on the first day of EA notice that there were near 40,000 EA applicants, a 20-25% increase over last year.
@billcsho Must have missed that one. This blog is very “active” compared to others.
@Breakfastclub1 I was referring to the blog of their admission office.
Anyone know when Ross starts their process for Pre Admitts? Or is there is a CC chat on it?
It’s rolling decisions from February to April. There’s a post on here a little farther down but not much talk about it yet.
My son was admitted OS EA (NY) - anyone know when merit scholarship notifications arrive? He was admitted to UNC-Chapel Hill on Friday and the merit opportunities were sent out yesterday.
He was also rejected by UVA. Go figure. These things are so hard to predict.
@Matinee Anytime between mid Jan and mid March. Some have already been sent.
@UMhopeful12 my view decision tab is gone as well. Anyone know if this means anything?
@NCstudent2022 my decision tab is still there with the same deferral letter. so confusing
@Whitman6838 My decision and deferral letter are gone. Is this the case for anyone else? Hopefully, it means a change to an acceptance, but it is probably wishful thinking.
@NCstudent2022 I think it’s just because they received updated grades but it sure would be nice if it meant being accepted!
@UMhopeful12 They received my updated grades but the decision tab and letter are still there. who knows, you can guess either way.
In last year’s cycle, many deferred EA applicants reported the disappearance of the previous decision link shortly before (typically the day before) receiving a decision. In February, the disappearance appeared to be followed by an acceptance but by March, outright rejections were reported too. The timing of these recent disappearances seems odd though. It’s very early. Last year, decisions began in mid-February.
@Whitman6838 true. It could be accepted and they know it or denied and they know it… ugh
For those whose decision tab is gone are OOS? Which college did you guys apply?
Yes, OOS. Applied to LSA.
OOS applied CoE
@Ben0803 Here’s one Ross thread I found—good luck! http://talk.qa.collegeconfidential.com/university-michigan-ann-arbor/2052846-university-of-michigan-ross-pre-admits-fall-2018.html#latest
Here’s what I found on Ross’s website regarding notifications:
“We receive and review applications on a periodic basis from January through April, depending on the volume of applicants admitted by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. We cannot review your application until you have been admitted to the university. Decisions regarding applications for Michigan Ross BBA Preferred Admission are typically released February through April each year. Applicants who are offered Preferred Freshman Enrollment (LSA applicants) or Preferred Admission (non-LSA applicants) have until May 1 to accept their offer. For more details, please see information on checking your admission status.”
@josephs40 Thank you!
