still deferred with super high scores, gpa, and ec’s… The website is down rn but I’m pretty bummed
has anyone received a rejection letter so far?
Does anyone know if the FInAid stays the same from LS&A to Ross?
Do you think that all acceptances have been sent out and that only rejections/waitlists will follow? I was deferred EA from LSA and still have not heard back - my decision tab is still there.
@billcsho, I have confirmed my son WAS accepted EA. Do you think it is unlikely he will be accepted by Ross since he has not heard from them and it has been so much longer that the 3 weeks you mentioned?
@holdingouthope The 3 weeks turn around started from their review process around the time RD results get in. So some of the admission last week was from the first batch of RD on 2/2. They should have reviewed all the EA admitted students already, but they may be holding on some applications till they receive more RD admitted application. As there were EA admitted ones got accepted by Ross last Friday too, so there may still be more admission from EA in the next round.
@chrys1 yep, I’m in the exact same situation
@billcsho - do you work at UM?
@billcsho I was just wondering the same if you work at Umich?? You have been on here since 2012.
Not any more. I just monitor this forum, local news, and admission data for many years. Being local, I have many opportunities to meet with the adcom and FA office in school events at UMich and at high school over the years. I also know a lot of past and current students there as most of my friend’s kids and mine go/went there. Being a parent of high school students for 8 years from a top feeder school and guided two daughters and my neighbors’ kids through the application process, you have to obtain a lot of information.
Will there be another wave coming this friday? I hope I dont get rejected…
@chrys1 I dont think folks should be overly concerned if they have not yet received their notification. I was deferred in Dec. and got my email acceptance notification a couple of days ago. They said a formal letter would follow, but as of now, no such letter has been uploaded on the portal. So I assume they are working on applications in batches. Its been a rough and stressful time for me as a senior and I can totally understand how others are feeling!! Hang in there!
Has any accepted international student recieved the formal package of acceptance by mail yet? I was accepted february 2nd and I havent recieved it yet. I am afraid it is lost in the mail or something.
@kesarasara thank you!!!
@jj1999 same here, well here’s to hoping
I am in the same situation, and I received my financial aid info after I was accepted to Ross, so I would think that once they review your application to Ross and make a decision, they will send out the info then. If you already had it before acceptance to Ross, then I would imagine it stays the same, but it might not. @pwraskin99
Anyone accepted by School of Kinesiology? I got deferred at first but just received their offer last Friday (EST). So excited!
@josephs40 The financial aid will be revised at least once, and likely more, over the summer. Nothing is final. The real question is do they consider the Ross pre-admitted still as their originally admitted school or already as lower classmen at Ross.
@billcsho , my daughter got deferred during EA and got accepted last week by LSA. Her stats are 4.67 wGPA , 1540 SAT and 10 APs. Is there any chance for merit scholarships or is it too late? We are OOS. Thank you
@bsms2018 Merit scholarship is not very likely as most, if not all, were given to EA admitted students. SAT 1540 is around the 75th percentile of admission, so it is not really competitive for that either. Have you checked the NPC?
