University of Michigan Applicant for Fall 2014!

I am going to be a senior and college time is coming and I am so stressed! Michigan and NYU and my top choices of the 9 schools I am applying to. Here is a rundown of some of my stats, I just want an opinion on how my chances of getting in look and what if anything I can improve.

GPA: 95.04% unweighted (my school does the whole 4.0 scale thing differently)
97.06 weighted

ACT: 29 / writing score: 10---> retaking in fall!
APs: English Language and AP Physics B: 3 on both (not submitting)
U.S.: 5 (submitting)

- Won the title for my county my sophomore year.
- Taken home many other titles and trophies for my school.
2) Student Government Class President

7) Former JV softball player (left because it conflicted with mock trial)
8) Varsity Swimmer
9) Lifeguard
10) Intern at a District attorney's office

Great Letter of Recs

Creative Common App Essay (getting around to supplementals!)

My major would be economics with a high possibility of minoring in environmental studies. I plan on applying early action!

Low reach. I’m assuming the GPA translates to like a 3.75 or 3.8. Definitely take either the SAT or ACT again to raise the standardized test scores!!!

With a slightly higher SAT or ACT, you’ll be a shoo-in at UMich :)

Are you in Michigan? If not, it is definitely a low reach for you. The admission stat for UMich 2013 has average GPA of 3.85, mid 50 ACT 29-33, mid 50 SAT 2030-2250. If you can bring up your scores a little bit, you can be a high match.

I am not in Michigan. I live in New York.
