I am a female from New Jersey. I am applying to UMich College of Engineering. I have a 32 on my ACT- 34 math, 33 english, 31 science, 28 reading, 10/12 on the essay. My school does our GPAs weird but I have taken honors and AP classes all through high school. Freshman and Sophomore year I got mostly Bs in these classes, however junior and senior year so far I have had my hardest schedules and have maintained straight As. (one B+ in AP English junior year). I am ranked 27/353. I play two varsity sports and am a committed member of a club at my school. I am in the National Honor Society. I have worked two summers. I volunteered at a hospital for one summer. I applied Early Action to UMich and am just wondering what my chances are. Thanks!

I think you have a good chance of admittance. A solid ACT plus top 10% and upward trend in grades are all positives. Also, being a female in engineering is a plus nd at Michigan there is a 3.5 to 1 ratio. Overall I think UM Eng OOS = match.

Match for sure! Nice rank and nice ACT. The only thing that’s barely holding me back is the grades. But the course rigor will play into your favor. Good luck!
I would put you at a high match. Your class rank isn’t very good and having several B’s will hurt you - UM cares a lot about UW GPA. Being female helps, but the college of engineering is still pretty competitive.

High match Because of GPA, everything else is good. Upward trend and EC’s help you out. Chance me back and good luck! http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1424552-chance-me-ill-chance-back.html
