University of Michigan Chances

<p>Hi everyone,
I have applied to U of M early action, and am just wondering what you think my chances are. I'd appreciate any input that you may have. Here is a brief synopsis of my credentials..</p>

<p>GPA- unweighted- 3.64 weighted 4.1
Class rank- 52 of 566
Awards- Principals honor roll
Distinguished student
Scholar athlete
USNSCC Citation
Pursuing victory with honor
Classes- 6 APs by graduation, 5 honors classes
Test scores- all 4s on AP tests, 700 writing, 670 math, 700 reading
Extracurriculars-
Varsity golf, JV baseball, ran two marathons
One year work experience
Over 200 hours community service
3 years in the Sea Cadets, I am the leading petty officer of my unit (sea cadets is a military program similar to JROTC)
Essays-
I worked tirelessly with my English teacher for weeks in order to perfect the essays, and they were very very good
Letters of rec-
My commanding officer and my English teacher both wrote outstanding letters of rec

-California resident
Is my GPA too low, or do my other attributes make up for it?</p>

<p>Also, I have applied for the NROTC Marine Option Scholarship, with michigan as my number one school and I included that fact on the application. I know some schools reserve spots for ROTC students, does michigan do this as well?</p>

<p>You are pretty borderline. You have excellent extracurriculars, but your GPA is on the low side. I would say Michigan is a high match/slight reach. Good luck.</p>
