Ooooh… one of my friends (from another state, but hey) messaged me on Facebook saying she was rejected… :(

So i guess this round is done
next friday>?

hopefully…

Hopefully next Friday, or two from now. I’m sure the next round of decisions won’t be the last either, but all the same, I haaaaate the waiting game. :(

Accepted to LSA also!!!
2260 SAT
Class rank = top 2%
Pretty good ECs

Are decisions over for this week?

^Yes. They’re only released on Fridays.

^ No. Many early action decisions were released on Saturday, some even later on.

^During the Early Action period. I’m talking about now.

Anyone hear anything today?

not me… waitin for friday

My daughter was accepted last year on march 19th which was a Monday. How I wish U OF M could accept all who really wanted to attend. I wish nothing but the best for all of you outstanding students. And don’t lose hope…more acceptance are coming!!! GO BLUE!!! :)

I started looking at the other kids in my school who applied along with myself. Overall it turns out there were 6 of us (small school full of State fans, UMich isn’t really popular here - fine by me! Better shot for the rest of us, lol!). Like, only 3 of us have ACT scores above 26/GPAs above 3.5. I WAS panicking, but looking at that plus the stats of most of the kids who just got in this round… I think we all have a really good shot. :)

if you have not heard of your decision yet does that mean that you have “moved on” in the admissions process or that your application has not been viewed yet. I know people that have applied after me but have heard already.

****sorry the first line is wrong: people who applied AFTER me have heard back but I have not

shouser95, this is one of those eternal mysteries to which no one here or on any other internet site (though it’s likely different on some intranet site at UMich) has a reliable answer.

Are the best and worst applicants hearing first? Does it have something to do with geography? Is it related to the first letter in your middle name? Is there a vendetta against those who submitted on Dec 3rd, because somebody’s old girlfriend dumped him on Dec 3rd, 15 years ago?

NOBODY KNOWS.

Just to add my two cents, about 15-20 people applied ED from my school. Only 5 were accepted. The rest were deferred. I applied RD (granted, my app was in by Nov.) and I got my decision and to my knowledge none of them got their decisions.

I agree with tougis. Its all luck of the draw. (Although, if you are in the middle ground or borderline either way, they may have just chosen to keep your app just in case. That is entirely possible.)

I was deferred ea, still no word back. Fingers crossed!

so, I sent another email to umichigan, and they told me they have not made a decision yet( for my application)
