So DD was rejected tonight, but WA says her residency is still classified as OOS. Residency docs were submitted 9 weeks ago & we were told it would take up to 8 weeks to process in a follow-up phone call a few weeks ago. We’ve soured on U-MI for their lack of communication through this process, so we won’t appeal or question. Just letting others know who may end up in the same position one day. Both the Registrar’s office & the Admissions office really didn’t care to answer our questions or communicate in any way about something that should have been a no-brainier.

(DD is graduating from an international/overseas high school which is the only reason her in-state status wasn’t automatic. She meets all residency requirements & we sent all requested documents and then some - W2s, income tax statements, employment letters, mortgage documents, MI driver licenses, birth certificate, etc.)

Woah totally just checked this thread randomly and just found out decisions were up. Waitlisted oos california 2040 sat/ 4.2 weighted gpa
Accepting my spot just for the he ll of it but Im likely attending lehigh!

How long does it take for an international student from Western Europe to get the acceptance package? Hope I will get it before mid-April!
By the way, for people stilk waiting, my stats weren’t amazing at all so don’t loose hope (only 1800 on the SAT and got into engineering).

Rejected. Let me quote something for those of you who got rejected. “It’s not about how hard you can hit, it’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward”-Rocky Balboa. Those who got accepted, congratulations and I hope for the very best of you all.

Waitlisted. Big time bummed. OOS. Hoping for the best but realizing I’ll probably have to go with choice No. 2. Congratulations to everyone who was accepted and condolences to all who were rejected or WL’d.

Waitlisted. 1480/2170 SAT, 95/104 GPA, Very good extracurriculars, teacher recommendations, & leadership. I have to say I’m very surprised. I guess what hurt me is that I’m an out-of-state student and I didn’t show a lot of interest. Whatever, I’m over it. Northeastern University Class of 2018 :)

Wow I’m kind of dissapointed in UMich. With the results coming back today it seems like they have simply accepted as many as they could so far and then reached their max so they started putting kids on the waitlist. That’s fine and makes sense if you ask me, but if they are going to do a process like that they should actually make it rolling admission. It seems to me like they don’t read and rank and then re-read, they read each once and then make their decision. If they were going to do that and then not have room to accept the last couple thousand applicants, they should have done it in the order that the applications were received. That is, after all, the way rolling admissions is supposed to work. I applied on December 15th, yet people who barely scraped the deadline were accepted and perhaps took my spot at UMich. This just isn’t very fair.
So yes, I was waitlisted also guys.

This sounds ridiculous but I don’t know how to check my decision. I tried logging onto the portal, but I can’t find where the decisions would be. Did everyone get emailed or did you log in to the portal?
