Advice for future applicants: when you’re writing your essays, think about what your strongest traits are, and write to show those traits. Don’t sweat it if the answer isn’t exact to the question, or you have an anecdote that would be “perfect”, what’s important is that you convey who you are and what’s important to you. Take a stand.

Strong pwrfoenkng art extracurricular activities and civic engagement for past 4 years as well as volunteering work with refugee kids and summer volunteer working in Appalachian Region in US and abroad. Several leadership positions at school.

Common App essay was exceptionally strong so was why Michigan and her teachers gave solid recommendations.

She did not visit, wondering if deferred due to lack of demonstrated interest, but is not like it is around the corner from where we live.
