Same happened to my daughter. The info is in the initial Application Received message that must have gone to snap and auto deleted.

Check out this advice - My daughter got her info about 2d later and is now anxiously awaiting decision. Follow these instructions exactly and they will resend the received email. Was received 2nd day after sending.

i wonder if there is any figure for the amount of deferred applicants who are eventually accepted. i know it has a lot to do with yield rates, ED commitments, and so forth. but it would be nice to know in order to keep our hopes in check ?

@jec30 B/c a Michigan admissions insider @SingingBusDriver on CC said the 19th.

@SingingBusDriver give me hope even though I’m at the bottom half of applicants for engineering. (: Miracles happen, but realistically I’m probably going to get deferred.

The application portal has to be one of the worst I’ve ever seen tho it looks like it was made 20 years ago

@equationlover are you in-state?

Good luck to everyone tomorrow! We tried our best and it’s been out of our control for a while now. Whether you get admitted, denied, or deferred, be proud of yourself for simply trying and putting yourself out there. Best wishes! May the odds be ever in our favor! :slight_smile:

Did Stamps Michigan come out tonight? I applied but I don’t think I heard back. I’m so confused. Somebody confirm because I heard they come out the night before but I have nothing

To everyone:

Good luck tomorrow. Keep in mind it seems like everyone gets deferred so don’t expect more then that. If you do happen to get accepted be considerate of those around you that might get deferred or denied. Say something kind/be kind.

This is one of the most active school threads so there is a lot of buzz out there.

No one likes someone that brags or gets obnoxious.

That means you too parents!

:-/

No reason to keep checking. Just check starting at 3:00 pm Eastern time BTW.

Good luck!

shout out to all my OOS engineering dudes, the struggle is real

Like this comment for good luck

@bella246 me rn. And no, I’m not instate, which is why I said it’s an Uber reach . Although I do have an interesting backstory, I doubt that’s going to majorly help.

@equationlover I scanned a few of your earlier threads, and you do have an interesting backstory which I think would definietly give you a unique perspective with which to write your essays, which is a good thing. But you’re right, your stats are low for OOS to the engineering program-- their admissions are crazy competative. I wish you luck though!

I am happy right now. I expect to get deferred, but it would make my year if I get accepted. Good luck everyone!

Good luck to everyone tomorrow!!! Super nervous…

@assemblingphilosophies Thanks, you too. Yes, on two of my essays (CA and diversity essay) I touched on those points. However, I made sure to only mention them briefly, and only as a matter of fact. Not pity party here. Either way, I am very keen on getting minorities in STEM, it’s one of my passions.

ugh I was scrolling through last years reddit um ea thread and RIP

Hello everyone, I’m in a complicated situation right now so any feedback would be helpful. I have lived in Michigan since 2012 but I moved to another state from November 2015 to December 2016 and then came back to Michigan. I got an email in November from Michigan saying that I didn’t qualify for in-state tuition so I had to apply for in-state tuition. I should get in-state tuition because I have all of the proof but the application for in-state tuition is still being evaluated. Do you think that Umich considered me in-state or out-of-state?
