University of Michigan Class of 2023 Early Action

HI wait I have a question is it true that Michigan does not DENY/REJECT any early action applicants? thanks in advance to anyone who can clear up this misconception!

@michigan2019 Umich’s website states that “there are three options for EA applicants: admit, defer, or deny”, there are rejections in this round as well as deferrals and acceptances.

In the past, Michigan has either accepted or deferred EA applicants. I don’t know of any flat out denials/rejections in recent years.

I’m pretty sure there have been denial/rejections. Just not many.

UM uses PeopleSoft, a very robust application owned by Oracle and is the most widely used application by Higher Education institutions.

Someone else already mentioned this, but it’s worth noting that the number of rejections will seem lower to people on this website as the users tend to skew higher on the end of the educational spectrum. I’m certain there are rejections this round - we just don’t hear much about them.

My brain: you’re OOS, best thing to do is to just go in expecting a deferral
Me: yeah sounds about right
My brain: and this is Michigan were talking about, keep expectations low
Me: makes sense to me
My brain: glad we’re on the same page
Me: ok but like what if…

Definitely are rejections this round per @SingingBusDriver. Good luck and let’s hope we’re not rejected though!

@jam151 Thanks!!! You as well!!!

Don’t worry people - I will get rejected lol

just wondering how anticlimactic it would be if the release date was actually Friday

If anybody is gonna get rejected early its me but there is still hope, somewhere over the rainbow.

ok those are mixed results but thank you!

hey guys!! good luck tomorrow!! was just wondering where we’ll be able to see our results tomorrow, like what part of the portal? thank you!

Decisions will be available when a third link pops up named “View Decision” to the right of the “View Credentials” link.

Everybody is going to be checking at school tomorrow ugh oh

Will applying to LSA as a preferred admission student to the College of Education better or worsen my chances of getting in as a freshman undergrad?

Is it bad I already have a draft of my LoCI ready to send?

helps a ton

I probably won’t be eating lunch tomorrow, I’ll be too nervous X_X
(I’m from California so it should be noon tomorrow)
Actually, forget lunch, I feel like throwing up my dinner
TMI, I know, sorry
SO NERVOUS THOUGH
GOOD LUCK TO ALL <3
