University of Michigan Class of 2023 Early Action

Thank you!

when should we expect to hear from the honors program?

@dancegirl28 D received Honors acceptance Feb 4. She was EA

i applied for the second wave. it says today by 11 but if it came out late for you guys it may for us too

My son received honors acceptance email this afternoon.

@lkbux64 Congrats to your son! When did your son apply? Mine just submitted hers just a couple days ago.

@Nhatrang, my son applied shortly before the February 5th deadline, so we were expecting his decision to come in today.

@lkbux64 awesome. Is UM your son top choice? Just curious what question essay question did he pick? I thought all the questions were pretty good!

So surprised so had to share this - UW Madison so much better an experience for our well-rounded child. Accepted CoE UMich but having just visited UW Mad, we are astounded. Such a better fit, a better feel than UMich. Has anyone else had this experience?

@WhereNow14. Some just like Madison better. It’s a nice campus. Congrats to your son with two great programs. Be aware though… Engineering is sorta not guaranteed. You have to pass and get a certain GPA to move on to selected major. Look into it. At Michigan it’s easier to move between majors etc in engineering.

Lots of kids think their in engineering but not really till they do the above.

Just returned home to TX from Campus Day earlier this week. General takeaways from a first timer:

  • It was cold, but not too cold. We acclimated quickly and enjoyed our tour. We over dressed for the weather.
  • DS loved the campus feel (and the food!)
  • People were very friendly and welcoming

Just checked the portal randomly and got accepted into LSA! For anyone wondering, I checked today and my view decision button was missing and reappeared when I checked again earlier which is when I saw my decision.

I just got into LSA too after being deferred EA. I kinda assumed I didn’t get in but I guess…?

Thank you! @romns116 I don’t know what want to study and I want to explore everything so I guess I’ll do the general session. Can’t wait to meet other students and my parents want to explore rental option near the school.

I was accepted LSA undecided, waiting on Ross too. Did anyone get Ross today at 5 EST?

Yes another round came at 5

Next wave is realistically 3/29 considering it’s spring break for u mich

@atlas74 Same with me. Got into LSA today (after being deferred for EA) now waiting on Ross. I’m assuming my app is just now in the hand of the Ross Admissions since I was just accepted to the University. And then I’ll have to wait until the 3/29 decisions for Ross.

would it hurt me in anyway to send a second LOCI? I sent one right after deferral in December and was wondering if I should send another? would this be a bad idea? OOS NY Kines

Did anyone get into CoE from being deferred EA? I dont see anyone on this thread like that so just want to be certain.
