<p>(The reason for my low grades is the fact that I got in a huge car accident the summer before junior year and was preoccupied and missed school due to surgeries and hospital stays. I made this evident in my essays)</p>

<p>i’d put it a low reach. You are in-state, have a great ACT (you should be fine not taking SAT) and have decent ECs. BUT, you are applying to the Engineering School which does put a lot of importance on GPA. i know there is a reason for it, but the GPA could still hurt you. I wish you luck though! go blue!
(out of curiosity, what school in michigan do you attend? i used to live in SE Michigan so i know the area fairly well)
