University of Michigan College of Pharmacy Admission

Hi! I am currently a high school senior and I am wondering about how the pharmacy school admission process works at U-M. Does the application process take place in the sophomore or junior year of undergraduate school? Also, is the program 3+4 (or in other words, would I start pharmacy school after my junior year or after I graduate with a Bachelor’s degree)?

Thank you so much for your help! It is much appreciated!!

Most PharmD programs require a certain number of prerequisite classes, which usually take 2-3 years.

Some require a bachelor’s degree (Ohio State).

You can find lots of info on the Pharmcas site.

My D took the PCAT in the summer after freshman year of college.

She applied through Pharmcas in the fall of sophomore year.

U Michigan requires 80 credits of prerequisites so 2-3 years, unless you have lots of AP credit.

Also are you instate for U Michigan?

OOS tuition is very expensive.

You might want to look into some programs that offer merit.

Thank you! Yes, I am in-state! I will apply to merit scholarships as well.
