Didn't get in either. They said I was missing a foreign language requirement for my major... Which totally sucks because I easily met their other requirements (including GPA and ECs).

what major and how much did you need?

I got in with only three semesters of a foreign language (you're supposed to have 4). Shortly after I got in, they sent me another letter telling me of my deficiency and said I have to take a foreign language every semester until I complete the requirements.

I have not taken any foreign language courses yet. Any language I was interested in would not transfer to the university, so I just thought I would wait. As for housing, I suggest going to look at the 3 if possible. Baits and Northwood are a ways from central campus, Oxford is about a 5 minute walk.

My school allows a 3-2 option where if you had 3 years of a lang in HS you can take 2 semesters of another in college. Does Michigan offer this as opposed to the 4 semester deal

As far as "hellbenders" comment...the college of engineering does not require a language for transfers.
