University of Michigan Deferral Thread EA 2019

@class0f15 fingers crossed for both of us, but that made me feel much better knowing that it was basically just random decisions that were sent out today. On WA it says that my CoE application is no longer valid, but I have a new box underneath that with LSA so I guess my application was officially switched today which I have mixed feelings about

My son got excepted to LSA.
He sent a letter & school sent his mid year transcript which is all A’s on 4 APs

2130, 4.0 uw, 4.7 w

from California, so keep up the hope people!

you can’t be serious “fock the n”
get a life

Accepted to LSA! No email notification or anything, only checked wolverine access because of the previous posts. So excited to finally have a school other than state flagship.

Son was accepted to CoE. Sent a letter of interest with 1st quarter grades. Sent a 2nd letter which also asked how to send mid year grades and reply said to check WA! So excited!!

@onceuponamom It was passion lol

accepted from NY!!

28 ACT
98 Avg.
3.9 UW GPA
13/256
OOS- NY
Really good EC, Hundreds of Volunteer Hours

GO BLUE!!!

Accepted from MI. A lot of kids from my school got in

Accepted from California (on my birthday!!!). I sent a letter of interest and also submitted alumni recommendation letters, which I think played a key role in my admission decision. Reading through past years forums, it seems that they wait to send out rejections/waitlists until April and send out waves of acceptances about every two weeks starting Jan/Feb. My regional representative also told me they take early application dates into consideration, so that is good news for EA deferrals still waiting for a decision!

Accepted. Sent a letter of interest after being deferred.

Did anyone hear of any rejections today? I didn’t get a decision today and it’s really hard to imagine waiting anymore. Even if they’re going to reject me, I just want to know already. I truly feel like the only person who didn’t get one which can’t be good.

I’m really interested in attending Michigan and hope I can get an acceptance from the deferral I just had one question… Where (to whom) are those that are sending letters of interest sending them?
Thanks

@adondecollege‌ Send a letter to your regional representative. If you don’t know who that is, you can find him/her on this site under “Find Your Counselor” http://admissions.umich.edu/contact-us

Is there any international applicant who got accepted after the deferral?

Where on Wolverine Access would it indicate that you were accepted?

Is it too late to send in letter of continued interest from a deferred student??

@jchen97‌ after you click on application status, there would be an option to click on if they had made a decision that says “view decision”

I was wondering what aid year options show up on WA under financial aid document status for those who were deferred and has it changed at all since applying?

Quick question… For those who were deferred, is there an View Status button on Application Status page saying
Deferred ? My daughter was deferred from LSA, and received the email. But there is nothing in the WA page saying she was deferred. Is this how it’s supposed to be ? Or does the status only show up once you are Accepted or Rejected ?
