@jdyounglegend If I were you, I wouldn’t lose sleep over it. First, there seems to be two versions of the original deferral communication. One that specifically asks for mid-year grades and the other one that does not. But, people have said that even the ones that weren’t asked to send their mid-year grades on the email communication were asked to do so on the portal - bottom line, no good or bad deferral letters.
Then you have the response to the LOCI that people have been sending in. If it looks like a template response that says something like “Thanks for your continued interest and it has been noted. Keep other options open as well”, then people are deeming it as “bad” deferral. Some other people have got a reply that says “Thanks for your continued interest and I’ll continue to be an advocate for your application to U of M”. This has been deemed as a “good” deferral. There is no correlation between the type of response to the LOCI and whether they are actually admitted. People who have got “good” responses are still waiting on deferral list and people who got “bad” responses are already in.
Just to reiterate, I was deferred back in December, received the deferral letter requesting mid-year grade, but it was very very generic. Then, I was admitted in the first wave of acceptances. My “view decision” tab did NOT disappear throughout that entire process.
@rb09 the light blue box that surrounds all the tabs or the dark blue that comes when you just click in the words view decision? My view decision is encompassed in the light blue box but only in dark blue if I highlight it, which goes away if I click anywhere else
@billybobby54 ah the things waiting for college decisions does to people. There is one college forum where someone is trying to log into the housing portal to see if they are accepted lol.
