@sunbeams I actually transferred in as a junior.
I found out about the finaid when they sent me a statement about a week after I got my acceptance. I had no idea they’d give that much aid.

@eyo777 Thanks for the info. We are praying for acceptance and full tuition plus some more! That would be super awesome!

does anyone know if U of M will pull the same scheme they did last year with the huge amount of deferrals?

@Googlest I think so. Over the past few years the number of EA applicants has been on the rise, so it’s likely to be higher this year. Also, I think they might try to admit fewer students overall, to keep the freshman class size at a number they like.

Does anyone have the numbers of students in each undergraduate college? I’m curious but I wasn’t able to find it anywhere.

Wow… we’re about to find out decisions in about 3 weeks. Probably the 18th since they’ve released decisions the Friday before the 24th for the past few years.

Are the decisions emailed out or posted online?

@whizkid98 this may be more than you were looking for, but it has all of UM’s enrollment stats
http://ro.umich.edu/enrollment/enrollment.php

@crownvic as a current freshman I’d recomment that you check the stats for the freshman that started this fall (my class): http://admissions.umich.edu/apply/freshmen-applicants/student-profile. The stats are actually a little higher than the source you referenced.

Please chance me for early action to the school of Nursing?

3.87 GPA (major upwards trend from Freshmen and Sophomore year, my junior year and first semester senior GPA is well above 4.0)
31 septACT (31 E 29 M 33 R 30 S) 30 juneACT (35 E 24 M 33 R 30 S) (Submitted both)
National Honors Society President
Volunteering (tutoring, after-school activities coordinator at local homeless shelter, international mission work)
Created a campaign within my school raising awareness for lack of education for girls around the world
APs: Bio, Lit, Environmental Sciences (you can take max 4 APs at my school)
Great essays (writing is one of my strengths)

Thank you so much!

Thanks @GoPack87

It looks like a moderator pinned this post. It’s getting real.

Does graduate legacy mean anything? Like if your dad attended Ross for an MBA. . .

@kate1997 Nursing middle 50 ACT last year was 26-30 so you are well above average. Your GPA is good. Good EC’s and good strength of curriculum for your school. I think you have a very good chance. My daughter got in with similar stats. 30 ACT. 3.95 UMUWGPA.

Does anyone know an approximate date for EA decisions?

dumb question, but what is difference between UM gpa and regular uw gpa?

@james1998iq UM gpa drops all +'s and -'s. So, for instance, an A- would be converted to an A while a B+ would be converted to a B

@james1998iq so that depends on your high school GPA system. My son’s school does not do A+ or - so from 90 to 100 is considered A, a 4.0. So I assume his unweighted GPA is the same as UM’s unweighted GPA.
