When do we get our WA stuff? I submitted my app ~10:30 AM on 11/1.
UM is my top school, but definitely a reach. I submitted app on 10/31 and recieved WA today (11/4) I am OOS… not sure if it makes a difference though. But anyway i wish the best of luck to everyone! I remember reading the UM posts my sophomore year and now its our turn… hope we all get in
Is U Mich expanding the HAIL interview program , looks like they have extended offers to interview to many more cities this year compared to the 3 cities they did last year…I noticed a few cities in south added to the list.
Hi …how do you know there cities added to the list? Where is this list located? Thanks
looking through the posts in here on CC. There isn’t a list that i am aware of.
Got my WA, but there’s no password? Just my U-M ID?
Google the HAIL interview program. It was a pilot atarted a couple of years ago then expanded. Can’t find any info about how applicants are selected for interview aside from geography and an alum willing to do it.
@basedchem go here: http://admissions.umich.edu/application-status?utm_source=process&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=verification and follow the directions on the left side. The link should also be in your email.
On the WA account, where does it say whether or not I have qualified for Early Action?
where do I check if all of my materials have been received?
I asked a rep today, they’ll send out an email within the next two weeks to tell you if you are eligible for early action. You can check materials under “View Credentials” in the application status.
@KermitFrog18 Log in to wolverine access > New & Prospective Student Center > application status > view application data > under “Other Information” mine says “Notification Plan Status: Early Action - Qualified”
@MidwestIsBest OMFG THANK YOU YESTERDAY IT SAID EARLY ACTION REQUESTED AND TODAY IT SAYS QUALIFIED EVEN THOUGH MY RUSH REPORT WAS DELAYED OMFG PRAISE PRAISE
@basedchem once you submit your application through the common app, u-m will send you an email in a couple of days (or weeks) with a UMID #. You’ll be able to access your “status” on the Wolverine Access website with it and see if all your credentials are in and stuff!!
Hey guys, another question, my application is a mess… My rec teacher messed up (yes, I only had one rec teacher, slap me repeatedly pls) and forgot to fill out a common app form, so her rec couldn’t be uploaded onto CA in time. None of this is my fault, btw. She’s a new teacher, and our CA support left last year, so she didn’t know abut this. Can I make an appeal to UMich?
@whizkid22 In general, if you apply early in-state you have the best chances to get in. Acceptance rates depend on school (Engineering/Music Theater Dance are the hardest, LSA (I BELIEVE DONT TAKE IT AS A FACT) is the easiest). Their acceptance rate this year is approx. 27%, but again, number much high when early v regular and in v out of state. I don’t have any stats up to date, but I saw a graph of stats from 2010 that said in state early had a 50% acceptance. However, Michigan has really upped their game the past few years, and still they are over-enrolling. Long story short: we are all screwed.
So does anyone have info on in-state EA acceptance rates? Getting harder, should be similar, etc.?
If my Notification Plan says “Early Action - Requested” still instead of qualified, is that a bad sign?
It shows that all my materials are in but yet it still says early action requested?? Does anyone know if this means I’ll be in the regular decision pool or not?
