maizeandblue2116 - I would say reach, because of the GPA and OOS status. Although, being part-black, and having a double legacy there would be positive, I still think it’s a reach for you. Are you being recruited? Just wondering because 7 varsity letters is INSANE if it’s for 7 different sports. Is that even possible? lol

Hey everyone, I kind of lost fate in getting into Michigan, because I just got rejected from Vandy, but then accepted to Case Western with max scholarship. Please chance

I am black/asian from out of state. I have a 33 on the ACT and a 3.4 UW GPA, but 4.14 W, I’m also in the top 15% for class rank. I’m in the IB program, and have taken the highest course rigor available at my school. My essays and recommendation letters are very strong, and I know that they will undoubtedly help me. For extracurriculars, I have 4 years of playing tennis, 3 years varsity, as well as attending the state competition. I am also a DECA State Officer, in a state which have over 8,000 members. I also started my own Non-Profit Organization, that spreads Indian dance and culture. I have raised over $15,000 for female empowerment. I am a 4 year and varsity member of Speech and Debate and Model UN at my school, and I have won multiple awards at conferences for both. I am also a member of NHS and a club called Students Advocating Change, which educates the school about global issues and then raises funds for these issues. I have also been the president for 4 years of the youth committee of a cultural association in my state, which has helped host multiple events. I have also volunteered in India and Africa and have accumulated 160 hours between the two. Finally, I started a chess club at the local middle school.

If somebody could please chance me I’d be very appreciative, if anybody wants my opinion, feel free to ask I’d be more than happy to help, thank you!

Okay so I just realized that back in October I got the email twice saying that I am qualified for the EA decision. What does that mean?

I think they just sent it twice by accident maybe :-??

@prodigee low match for LSA

@Epicorangeninja Pretty sure, I think the average is 33 for CoE?

@fdizzle Low match?? for OOS? how?

@vincentwsong reach because of GPA

It was four hours a part…I’m guessing it was a mistake, but still quite odd. Also if all of my cousins have attended UM does that help? They were all instate, but I’m from the south.

@prodigee I meant match, not low match lol sorry.

@fdizzle lol still, match seems hard to attain for Umich, especially for OOS

@Prodigee, I think your EC’s are pretty solid for Michigan

wait, first place in country? or did you mean county?
