University of Michigan Early Action Class of 2019 Discussion

Does anyone know how difficult it is to get into Kinesiology? I’m instate. I applied to Kinesiology mainly because I heard that it was 3.7+ gpa and 27+ ACT. I have a 3.7 and a 30 ACT with 3 APs and one honors 4 accelerated courses and 3 more APs plus 2 dual enrollment courses my senior yr with a 34 math and 32 science. I have varsity tennis, health science club creator, hospital volunteer, usta medals, taekwondo blackbelt, regional writing contest winners out of 6 states, and much more. I’m not asking for chancing but I’m just wondering how much easier it is than the whole school itself.

On their site it says the 50th percentile of accepted students have
3.7-3.9 GPA
28-31 ACT
1860-2085 SAT

So I’d say it’s a fit for you? Don’t stress too much, friend.

@NorthernKev‌ thanks for the link!! :slight_smile: I’m just wondering how hard it is even with median stats :confused: my teacher recommendation is solid. The only thing that worries me is my gpa…I don’t want to be deferred :frowning: I’m new to this site btw. Just figuring out how it works!! :smiley:

@tennisluv101‌
I think usually with median stats it means at least more likely than not. Because keep in mind you’re the median of the people who got in, so anyone would bet their money on you getting accepted! It’s just more likely, other than that I don’t know if anyone can say. I technically have much better credentials than what the PharmD considers “competitive” but who knows what they mean/want.

I think you will get in!! You seem very smart haha :slight_smile: @NorthernKev‌

I just wish decisions came out now … :/

@tennisluv101‌
I also want decisions to come out too. UMich (with PharmD program ofc) is the one school other than my ED, so if I get accepted I’ll withdraw my apps to the other 30 schools so I don’t waste spots and break other people’s hearts. 17 more days! (Till normal ug :frowning:

30 SCHOOLS!?!?! WHAAAAAT? Dang @NorthernKev. Really setting the bar high.

Anyone having trouble logging in to WA? I can’t get in, and its not a scheduled thing either.

Hey guys,
I wanted to update you all regarding the appearance of the Ross application on the portal. Mine didn’t show up and I called the admissions office earlier today and they assured me that it is no indication of acceptance/rejection. Apparently the processing for Ross is ongoing and it should show up for all preferred admission applicants in the next 2 weeks.

Where are the admission results posted?

@sloth22‌
I assume somewhere on wolverine access?

@carlsandburgsr‌ I am able to log in.

Where on WA are they posted?

Is anyone else having trouble with the wolverine access website? The actual page after clicking new student business won’t load.

Yeah Wolverine Access is struggling today for everyone, students got an email about it:

"You may have noticed some U-M websites and web services not loading as quickly as usual, or you may have had some trouble signing in this morning. This is due to some issues with the network software responsible for authentication (signing-in) at the central campus level.

ITS is working fast to resolve the problem, but you may continue to experience some slowness in the meantime."

So don’t worry my naive little simpleton nervous Michigan applicants, WA’s downtime has no relation to your precious applications/timeline for decisions. ;)

@nagintapls‌ don’t give me that sass bish

@riccyrubbio‌ dude not cool…

@riccyrubbio‌ @jeff0418‌ lol

I hear decisions will come out Dec 20 in waves…good luck everyone
