Earlier in this thread, someone mentioned that it usually takes between 4 and 6 weeks to receive a decision

I understand that being an out-of-state sophomore lowers my chances significantly, but I’m hoping for the best!
Thank you!
Good luck to everyone and congrats to all who have been accepted!!!
What are my chances of acceptance being an American citizen and having gone to a high school in the US, but attending a college in Canada? (I’m applying for sophomore transfer)
I heard that Umich preferred junior standing applicants. I am very worried about my situation as an applicant for a rising sophomore. Can anyone chance me?

Hey everyone! I’ve been looking through this discussion board for the past few months, and it has really helped in the application process! I figured that I would let everyone know my admissions decision and stats–hopefully it will help some other people and ease some nerves!

High School GPA: 4.0 UW

I had one strong letter of recommendation.
My application was marked complete on 1/31; I was accepted on 2/11.
I hope this helps in some way. I wish the best of luck to everyone. Go blue!
Man I wish I would’ve found this board sooner. Glad to know that I’m not the only nervous about acceptance into UMich.
I applied as a transfer student into CoE for fall of 2017. Finished my Common App in early December and had my high school transcripts (I was homeschooled) and transcripts from my CC sent in early January. I’ve been doing loads of correspondence with the course evaluation office, anyone having this type of communication with UMich? No one from my CC has ever transferred to UMich (everyone transfers to UIUC) so it’s been a bit of a struggle to get my pre-req courses evaluated but I get that it’s all part of the process.
Funny story: they’ve accepted my calc II, III, linear algebra but are questioning my calc I. So that’s kind of great XD
I’m a sophomore and I have over 80 credits at my CC and a 3.6 GPA. I’ve taken all my math up through diff eq and linear algebra and am working through my last engineering physics class (a quantum physics class) as well as C programming and other random engineering classes. I’ve been involved in an internship since freshman year I’m pretty involved at school: president and co-founder of the engineering club at my school, active member of my school’s honors society as well as a member of Phi Theta Kappa. I’m also part of of my school’s sustainability club, I do private tutoring and I was on my school’s cross country team. (Hoping this enough extra circs for UMich!)
I’m just hoping that my GPA is high enough. I feel very confident with my essay questions, I have a strong resume and I have 3 incredible letters of recommendation. I guess I’m just starting to get anxious because I haven’t heard whether I’ve been accepted. I check Wolverine Access about 3 times a day, but like I said, I’ve been having a lot of communication with the course evaluation office so hopefully that’s a good sign XD
In other news, I’m excited about UMich’s football 2017 season. Can’t wait to be swimming in a sea of maize and blue during football games XD
Future wolverine! Found out today!
Ive posted my stats earlier in this thread but if anyone wants more info. LMK
Have you guys received any kind of email to confirm that your application was complete? How did you know your application was complete?
Congrats, peace4allpeeps! Can I ask when you applied and when your application was marked complete
I called admissions to ask if they could confirm that all materials have been received. They’ve had them for a while, but had just been taking a while to process them.
certainly, @Benervous. I submitted my application the day before it was due (Feb. 31ST). I was notified via email that my application was received/complete on Feb. 2nd.
Did anyone apply to transfer specifically into the School of Kinesiology?
Hi, I submitted my application on the day it was due. Has anyone who submitted it then heard about a decision yet?
I submitted mine on the 17th(but they didn’t have my transcripts till about 2/7). I have not heard back yet and am expecting to take at least till end of month.
Anyone applying for engineering?
@entropymademe I applied for engineering. Major is Chemical engineering. You??
@entropymademe I applied for engineering as well. Materials science and engineering.
