University of Michigan Fall 2019 Transfer Thread

@UMICHCSLSA I submitted all my stuff 1/29

When is the next wave expected again? I can’t remember which thread I saw it on oops

nvm just got an email saying i was denied </3

@transferapps23 Not sure if you can check online, I just called and asked

@collegehelp1337 Really truly sorry about that :frowning: May I just ask, which college did you apply to? LSA or Engineering?

@azac123 thank you!! :slight_smile:

@Godletmein101 I had to call them up. I sent my grades on February 27th, and looks like they just updated my Wolverine Access to mark the mid-terms as “received”. They said my decision should be coming within a few more weeks.

@NBAEXPERT what’s your college GPA if they want to see a midterm report if u don’t mind me asking

@NBAEXPERT few more weeks… omg
then in my case it will take about a month cause I submitted materials pretty late… i submitted my midterm report yesterday and they received it today…

I asked my admission advisor if I need to submit other information (like midterm grades). She said that unless my wolverine access page required. She also just said it was under review and I should expect my decision 6 to 8 weeks. It seems like I still have nothing updated on my WA related to decisions or grades.

I applied for CS at LSA, but my high school grades and entrance exam scores were prettyy bad because i didn’t think i’d ever go to college and didn’t try my best. I only have 30 credits so they took that stuff into account

I applied LSA and haven’t heard back! I’m transferring from a school in New York, but am from Michigan. They sent me an email about confirming my in-state residency in order to determine financial aid. Has anyone else received this?

Hi, I am an OOS high school student. I applied RD for Michigan, but haven’t received an admissions decision yet. From what I have heard, the rejection waves typically come out later, in April.
HS GPA: 3.78 uw
ECs: HighSchool Soccer for 3 years, Club Soccer for 5 years. Cross Country for 2. NHS, NEHS, founded Key Club at my school, NSHS, Youth in Philanthropy, Youth Expanding Services, lots of volunteering.
Currently hold a job as a receptionist at a swim school
1330 SAT = 29 ACT
My dad worked in the chemistry department there for some time.
I don’t expect to get in with these stats, so I wanted to get a head start on the transferring admissions process. I got accepted into Boston University, UIUC, University of Houston. I am considering attending UH or UIUC for my first year. At the end of my freshmen year, would I be able to apply to transfer? Should I go to UIUC or UH? UIUC is giving me no financial aid, only loans. UH I would be able to cover the cost easily. However UIUC is a good, more-recognized school. Main question, I wanna apply to transfer ASAP. I know on their website it says to maintain 30+ credits before applying. Could I apply before then? When would be the best time to apply? I reallllyy want to apply at the end of my freshmen year, or around that time. Thanks!

@UMICHCSLSA My college GPA is a 3.59 with somewhere around 40-something credits taken. I have all A’s on my mid-terms so I think that’d push my GPA up to 3.6 something. I applied to CS LSA and am studying at MSU. What’s your GPA if you don’t mind me asking?

@Godletmein101 You’ll probably get a decision at the same time as me. They already reviewed your application, and since they received your mid-term grades, it’ll take them a few more weeks to re-review everything.

@NBAEXPERT by name you can prob tell I’m also applying CS. 17 credits taken, taking 18 this semester, 24 AP credits. 3.83 GPA. I’m currently a freshman. OOS.

why I still hear nothing back…

I think my portal’s format changed a bit. Does it mean my app was reviewed?

@Faexpopuli what changes do you see

Just got admitted. OSS. Marked complete 3/4.
