Submitted on Jan 8
LSA app submitted 1/23, all info received 1/28 (I believe)…no word yet.
I received my acceptance/admissions decision today!
I was on college confidential all last year, but avoided it this year LOL. But I immediately checked here when I got the email to see if other people were too. It seems like rolling admissions from this thread… don’t get your hopes up y’all!
Application submitted on February 1st; my portal never showed missing documents. I had my HS and college transcripts sent over in January, no idea when they arrived.
32 years old, woman/genderfluid/queer.
Pell grant recipient, life-long Michigan resident.
Non-traditional, my high school grades were TERRIBLE. But I graduated over a decade ago and was able to reflect on why I did poorly then/what’s different now.
1 academic recommendation from a fave professor.
1 peer/work recommendation.
33 ACT taken last year.
2 years at community college with the variation of courses they describe, 4.0 cumulative GPA.
Essays were personal and reflective; I described my own shortcomings, along with those in the communities I belong to, with my ideas for change/doing better. (Never in a way that was self-deprecating or disrespectful.)
Happy to answer any questions!
(I got into LSA btw!)
Congrats! Good luck!
@CatnipParty congrats on the acceptance!!! do you know what time you received your acceptance?
Has anyone email their admission counselor and got a reply on a question asked?
How’d you find out who your admission counselor was?
You can find out at the bottom of https://admissions.umich.edu/contact-us

Congrats! Do you know when they changed your application status to complete? Also, has anyone else heard back?
@“Transfer3568#”
Thank you!
3 days ago, I requested them to update my TOEFL score. Honestly, I didn’t see any sign of release from their reply. When I checked my portal last night (2.23), nothing changed. To my surprise, I received the email at 6:33 am (PST) this morning (2.24). “An update has been posted to Enrollment Connect” is the only sentence in that email. (That made me extremely nervous—when I applied for UCSD 2 years ago, they rejected me and sent me an email just like that)
I was stunned when I waked up. I thought they would release the result by the end of March. Since I submitted my application on 2.1, I never thought I would hear back from them very soon.
Good luck!!!
