I was recently admitted into the program of kinesiology at Umich. I am very excited and I was just wondering if anyone knew any particulars about this program at michigan. I have read the sight and know how it works as well as that it is extremely small, but I was wondering if anyone could tell me anything from personal experience who maybe has or knows someone who is in the program. Information such as the quality of the program and other comments are appreciated thanks!

hey i dont really know anything but i applied there also and was wondering what your stats were and what kind of background you hve in this field... im feeling kinda iffy on my chances

hey lvp well im an OOS male from virginia. I come from an extremely challenging HS and i have a 3.8 Umich Gpa. My Sats were a 1990 (690 reading, 640 math, 660 writing). I had a pretty good recommendation and i feel my essays were fairly strong as well. As for my Ec's i feel they were one of the things that got me in as I work in a fitness club, as well as I am the Captain for Cross Country Track and Field. Good Luck and let me know when you get your decision. Btw my app was complete 11/03

From what I know, students seem to love it. Because it's smaller they know the faculty and administration well.

They do some really neat work over there--interesting research in movement science and exercise physiology, some of which intersects nicely with research done at the med school, biology, public health. They have an ongoing project about developmentally disabled kids and coordination--including a program where they help local kids with down syndrome learn to ride two-wheel bikes. How cool is that?

wow that reallly does sound awesome thanks for the comments!
