I got into UMich-Rackham Graduate school for Fall 2005 to pursue an MS in Biostatistics. I know the overall reputation of the school is excellent, but digging up ranking/info on this particular program has been very tough. All the information I have to go on are my professor's recommendations (which are varied) and math/applied math rankings (which mostly apply to PhD programs).

Does anyone know how good UMich's Biostatistics Master's programs is? How about their MS in Statistics?

Thanks.

Hi biostat2005
I see you posted this in 2005 and I wonder if you’re still at U Mich. If yes, how is it?
I’m a senior math major and I’m interested in Biostat, but my GPA is not that good (3.1 from a top 15 liberal art college, mainly because I was not focused on academic during my first two years.). Also I only have one summer of research experience (in pure math but also somewhat applied math). So I’m curious about your record, and what it takes to get into UMich.
I’m pretty overwhelmed with this grad school stuff, so I would really appreciate your help on it. Thanks
