I'm trying to figure out which would be a better fit to prepare me for medical school.
I got accepted to UMich LSA & GA Tech for BME. I know that they're not the same department, but I have a strong interest in biology, chemistry, and math (I'd be a biology major at the LSA).
I know that UMich's medical school is very highly ranked, but GA Tech also has close relations with Emory. Which would be a better place for pre-med?

It depends on what you want. And finances.

From a strict prestige/medical school placement/program strength POV, UMich is stronger.

finances aren’t a problem.
But my decision might be influenced by the environment of the 2 schools. I have yet to visit either of them.

They are very different. UMich has a nicer campus and more vibrant campus life, but is freezing. GaTech, on the other hand, is warm :)

I would definitely try to visit if you can

Georgia Tech Engineering is a pressure cooker and grade deflation could be a concern. That is not restricted purely to GT mind you. All major Engineering programs have a harsh grading curve. Michigan LSA is not a walk in the park either, but it is certainly easier to maintain a higher GPA…and Medical school care a great deal about GPA.

In terms of campus environment, the two are very difference. You should visit.
