I got into Northeastern D’Amore McKim school of business and Michigan LSA. I’m not entirely sure what I want to do but leaning business. Michigan has the name to go along with insane academics but if I decide on business or another major outside of the school of LSA it is hard to transfer. At Northeastern I’m already into business school and it is much easier to transfer majors, on top of that they have the co-op program which is amazing. The sports/parties at Michigan also really attract me there while Northeastern has less of that. Any advice on this would be helpful, thanks!!
I love Michigan (former grad). I’m assuming the cost is the same?
If you can, apply to transfer in to Ross. If not, why not study economics? If you don’t want to pursue business, it’s got great departments in everything else. Not hard to transfer in to those.
To me, if the costs were the same, my vote would be Michigan, because you will get the full college experience.
@sbdad12 same cost, I have heard it is very difficult to transfer into Ross do you have any info on the truth of that?
I have heard the same. Really comes down to if you want the business school badly. If so, and you’re nervous about not getting in, then go to Northeastern. If you’re ambivalent, and want a good college experience with whatever you study, pick Michigan.
