I’d definitely say my ACT was on the lower side. Otherwise, I think my essays were pretty good, I had an upward trend with my GPA, variety of ECs. Probably added diversity because I am from a small town…

I really couldn’t be happier right now!! Seriously, thanks to everyone in these threads. Also, good luck to be people who got waitlisted or haven’t heard back yet.

@uofmPlease Aww congrats! Happy to see you made it in! :smiley:

@Jamesesesess‌ thank you so much!! Have you heard anything yet?

Edit: My bad, just saw your WL. I still hope you’re able to get off of it… GOOD LUCK!!

@uofmPlease Waitlisted, but I’m hopeful… even if I shouldn’t be lol. I’ll send a letter of continued interest and one of my teachers offered to drive me 12 hours to tour the campus (Ann Arbor is his hometown) so I feel like that should support my case too? Idk? Hopefully the waitlist won’t be too astronomically large since it seems like a lot of people already have other options figured out but who knows.

Oh, just saw your edit, haha. Thank you!! :slight_smile:

@Jamesesesess‌ It’s good to be optimistic about it! Continued interest will be good too!! And I have heard that they will be utilizing their waitlist more this year too, so that’s in your favor!

Congrats @uofmPlease‌! I was rooting for you. :slight_smile:

@BSM1987‌ thanks so much!!

I’ve been offered a place on the wait list too :confused: But argghh, I’m confused, and I’m an international applicant too… Any advice on what I can do? A letter of continued interest?

rejected from LSA; 3.6 GPA 32 ACT

Just got into LSA!!! The decisions are up on the portals, I think they’re sending emails later.

@TanTheeeta‌ Letters of continued interest help a lot! Most colleges accept you if you say that they’re your first choice and that you’ll go to UMich if you get in off the waitlist.

There was this guy last year who he got waitlisted at Michigan and literally sang his way off of the list. You can watch the video here : www.youtube.com/watch?v=OC4aq2teLRI

Michigan is super holistic and if you have the opportunity to grab attention, do it!

when did you guys get the acceptance? It says “view decision” but I am way too scared to look at it :frowning:

@megarr‌ I got mine around a few hours ago!

ah congratualtions! @rhea23‌

mine doesn’t say “view decision”
