***University of Michigan RD 2019 Official Thread***

The day that i decided to take the SAT (in june) was only two days before my final exam. So i didn’t get a good score. So i decided to sacrifice my summer to study it in usa with pinceton review(july to September) wich make me lose an enitre month at school

So after that i toom yhis test last october and i incincrease for almost 500 points. But unfortunately i didn’t have time to retook it because i have my school exam and also my TOEFL and SAT 2 to prepare. (In only one month). I give all of em to still be on the top of my class even if i lose one month and do well on the other tests.

THis was one year of stress and pressure.(From me, my parents, my teachers, my dean and others.) So i really hope that all my hard works will pay off
And believe me, if i get accepted to umich i will take an entire week off to enjoy no matter what my parents will say.

@emchda If you are deferred from EA, you are basically in the same pool as RD that submitted early. The admission notification would depend on your credential. Better candidates would be admitted first.

Hey guys I applied on Feb 1st College of Engineering and still haven’t heard anything :P. Anyone know when to expect decision?

@Thebloodraven23‌ I applied to LSA in mid-November and still haven’t hear anything yet. You’ll hear something by mid April for sure.

Yup thanks … and good luck to you for your decision !

Isn’t there a rule that all colleges must notify you of your decision by April 1?

@girlfromworld1 There is no such rule but the students need to make decision by May 1 (except for those on waitlist).

Does anyone have any idea when the next wave of decisions will be? Could it possibly be this Friday?

There was nothing on the UmichAdmissions Tumblr today stating that there wasn’t going to be a batch released this week, unlike the last 2 mondays. I even made sure to send them an ask anonymously today if they were releasing anymore this week. With this, it might be a stretch, but I think we can conclude that we will get decisions this week.

Also, after asking the admissions office Live Chat if I could send in my 3rd quarter grades (just asked today), they responded with:

“no we are getting close to putting out decisions and we would not like anymore documents that have not been requested by the University”

I believe our time is soon.

@uofmPlease‌ it seems that our time is always soon, when in actuality it’s not… It’s irritating enough that we’ve both been waiting a ridiculous amount of time… I do hope that soon means that we’ll get our decisions sometime this week or so!

Same here @collegeplease123‌ !!

I mean, I have been waitlisted at UIUC and rejected by GT… Pretty late, but with decent EC’s and a 2120 SAT score, do I even have a chance at an acceptance? My brother got in, but I was deferred, so I was bummed out at that too… (I applied for a Health Sciences major, if you were wondering…) @uofmPlease‌

@collegeplease123‌ I’m not quite familiar with the SAT, but after looking at a ACT-SAT conversion chart, it shows that it’s almost equivalent to a 31 on the ACT, which is better than me. I honestly can’t tell you, so sorry about that. But I wish you the best of luck!

I mean, it really is a bummer… (Equivalent to a 32 on the ACT actually ;)) But in all seriousness, if we don’t get in, they’re missing out!

@collegeplease123‌ We must have looked at different conversion tables then… LOL. I know for sure though, they definitely will be missing out. are you OOS?

It’s honestly really frustrating for admissions to be released this slowly. I wish they would just release them instead of trickling them out.

OOS GA, yes. ^Yes. Exactly. By rolling, not a very efficient system…

@collegeplease123 SAT 2120 is slightly below admission average of last year. The stat is likely to go higher this year again particularly for OOS. You still have a chance though.
