@anzhilin I was accepted to the College of Engineering on March 4th, and I am from Brazil. Having that in mind, I don’t think there’s any correlation between where you live and when you will get/got your decision.
I just got my official welcome package for SMTD and there was an LSA brochure inside along with everything else. Maybe it’s a sign? hopefully
@etsy98 When my D applied to SMTD, we were told that if you were accepted you were automatically able to take classes and go for an LSA degree as well and didn’t need to be separately accepted. The converse was not true. Not sure if things have changed but that was only 2 years ago.
I think my daughter got the LSA brochure as well, @etsy98. @BSM1987, does that mean that SMTD students can apply for the Residential College without being accepted into LSA?
@etsy98 I received the LSA brochure too, and I am a STAMPS prospect. I have the same question as @choirsandstages 's but in terms of the STAMPS school of art and design.
Just wondering–how do they notify you?
I applied to the dual degree between LSA and SMTD…so if I got into SMTD, do I have a good shot at getting into LSA/am I already admitted to it or what? I’ve been really freaked out bc it’s so late and I haven’t gotten a decision from LSA.
My Wolverine access portal seems to be down…I know they normally shut it down for a couple of hours during the morning, but then, why is it not working now?? Is anyone else facing the problem? Or is it just me? I hope it doesn’t mean something went wrong…
It’s working fine for me; perhaps it was just temporary
They received my application on 1/12 and I still haven’t heard back yet but other people who applied 1/30 have. Rage increasing exponentially.
My Wolverine access is still not opening…I think I will ask them to check it…I have annoyed them already with a lot of questions xD But it’s better to get yelled at than be nervous.
Never mind, I spared them the torture. Had left it open for too long I guess. It worked after I closed the tab and reopened and logged in again.
Hey guys! I applied on 31st Jan, and have not received a decision yet. I heard that UMich rarely gives out acceptances after the third week of march. How true is it?
Not completely sure. I think it’s still possible, but it may be mainly waitlists and rejections. However, it IS still possible and a waitlist has some hope to it!
Someone (my friend’s friend) has already heard back his/her rejection. They applied later than me… And I still haven’t heard back any from Umich yet. and also my friend said that he/she(?) didn’t even get an interview. which is strange because we live in the same city. and we both applied to COE.
I think I am not their top applicants nor bottom ones. If they don’t want me, I would have already gotten the rejection by now.
(I don’t know that person’s stat tho)
Judging from what I read from the past years’ forums, acceptance letters are sent out even after March 25, so there is still hope!
(Secretly hoping to be accepted, but the chances are slim after having a miscommunication, which almost resulted in my application being rejected as it was labeled as ‘incomplete’ )
So how exactly does it work with these rolling decisions? Will they send me an email once it’s available? I applied to LSA, and I haven’t heard back yet!
@erd2020 They input the decisions on Thursdays and Wolverine Access refreshes overnight so you can see the “view decision” link on Friday Morning. Later that same Friday (approx 3pm), you will get an email notification. This is my understanding, and my D’s acceptance fit this pattern.
Did they reject people already?
@choirsandstages thank you that helps a lot!
