University of Michigan Stamps

Hi,
I am wondering if any of you guys are stamp scholarship recipients, know what stays a high school student needs to be a good candidate for the program, and/or basically anything else about the stamps program at Umich? I have looked in depth on the website but it’s fairly vague (unless I’m missing something).

Thanks!

Stats not stays*

Hate to say this, but less than 5% of accepted students at UM get any type of an actual academic scholarship. That is what was told to us at orientation. So not only do you have to be accepted, which is about a 23% chance or less than 20% chance if you’re OOS, you then only have a 5% chance of getting any type of scholarship after getting accepted. It’s tough. Stay positive, but you have to be realistic too. Last year it looked like they gave out only 10 Stamps scholarships and that was probably out of 14,000 or so students they offered acceptance notices to.

Thank you! @DBY2017
