University of Michigan, UCLA, UCSB, Cal Poly computer science

I'm a high school senior with a 3.92 gpa with an sat score of 2010 and an ACT of 30 and I was wondering if anyone could help me with my chances of acceptance for computer science in the schools I mentioned in the discussion title. I am a National Hispanic Scholar, CSF member, NHS member, FLHS member, varsity football player, club soccer player, and in the student ambassador program at my school if any of that helps. I'd appreciate any help that I could get!

Well it depends, what is your class rank and how many AP classes have you taken? National Hispanic Scholar will help but some more EC’s would help. I feel like you would a be solid candidate have a good chance for all the schools except for Cal Poly. Cal Poly will be a bit of reach but its possible.

Chance me back please http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1712976-chance-me-uf-ga-tech-nyu-emory-and-georgetown-will-chance-back.html#latest</a></p>

Oh and just to clarify my unweighted gpa is a 3.68, my weighted gpa is a 3.92

And I have taken only one AP class and 7 honors classes

Are you in-state California?
Calculate your UC GPA for UCLA/UCB: <a href=“GPA Calculator for the University of California – RogerHub”>http://rogerhub.com/gpa-calculator-uc/</a>
If you OOS, you can only use AP classes for extra honors points in the calculator.
For Cal Poly SLO, calculate with the same calculator but include 9th grades but no extra honor points for freshman classes.
Repost with GPA’s.

Yes I am in-state California. My UC gpa is 3.74 and my cal poly gpa is 3.76

UCLA/SLO: Reach
Univ of Mich/UCSB: High Match/Low Reach
Younger son’s Stats from last years Class for CS: UC GPA 3.73 ACT 31. Denied by UCSB and SLO. Did not apply to UCLA.
I hope you have some safeties.

Thanks, and yes I do!

I beg to differ, but the NHSP won’t help with the UC’s because, by law, they can’t practice affirmative action. Your scores will get you into some of the CSU’s.
