University of Michigan vs Emory

Hey everyone, I am interested in going into pre-med, pre-dental, pre-law, buisness, pretty much anything except engineering. I wish to have a very fun time going to school (joining a frat, going to football games, having strong school apirit, etc), but also want to work and study very hard so that my goals are attainable. I have a 3.82 gpa, 32 act, extra curriculars, etc. MONEY HAS 0 WEIGHT IN MY DECISION. Which school is better for me? Also, which school has a stronger reputation nationally (us news aside)? Thanks for the help!

From an academic point of view, given your interests, both are excellent. I do not think either will give you an advantage. However, if you like football and school spirit, Michigan is probably more your speed, especially if they hire the right coach!

The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, appears to me that it would better accommodate your social interests that include joining a college fraternity, attending sports events, and possessing a strongly present school spirit.

Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, has a very strong pre-med program; In fact, a very large quantity of students choose to attend Emory University because of that reason. As a result, this pre-med focus is reflected by the vibe of the university; Emory University has an overall more studious vibe.

The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, in the state of Michigan (USA), is most reputably known for its engineering programs. Irregardless, both schools would provide excellent preparation for professional schools, which include but are not limited to: medical school, law school, dental school, and veterinary school.

Tough choice, you should visit both if money isn’t a factor!!! Congrats!

Thank you, yea I am visiting both and thought emory was okay, but am really excited to see michigan. My parents want me to go to a school with more prestige and noticed michigan was ranked below emory so they see no point in me going to michigan
